Security Fences

There are two fundamental types of security fences. The first one is the security fence where it is advantageous to see what is happening on the other side of the fence. Good examples of these are the dog enclosures at the SPCA in Victoria or any of Vancouver Island’s outdoor swimming pools. Chain link fence is the best option in those applications.

Should one not want the activity behind the fence to be seen, then a wood security fence is an affordable way to provide a high level of security. As one can readily understand, a wood security fence would be highly appropriate for the somewhat famous clothing optional  community just south of Duncan.

One of the strategies in designing a good wood security fence is to make it look as much like a regular fence as is possible, to not attract the uninvited visitor’s curiosity as to what is behind that fence. Vancouver Island Fencing will design your fence in just that manner. The fence will look to the passerby as simply a 6′ tall attractive wood fence.

There are 5 ways a security fence can be penetrated:

1. Disable a post.
2. Go through the fence.
3. Go under the fence.
4. Go over the fence.
5. Go through the gate.

Vancouver Island Fencing addresses all of these areas, treating them with equal importance so as to not allow a weak point in your perimeter to develop.

We would be more than happy to discuss our standards and techniques with you in person. We simply do not believe it is anyone’s best interest to simply put them on our website.

Vancouver Island Fencing has the knowledge and experience to ensure that there is no vulnerable or weak spots in either design or construction for your security fence.
